Dress Smart. Dress Comfortable. #
Attending AN involves long hours of networking, listening to speakers, and exploring various exhibits. Comfort should be on the priority list when selecting your daytime outfits. Pairing a well-fitted blazer with tailored trousers or a stylish dress keeps it comfortable without losing your fashion edge. There’s a lot of walking, but there’s a lot of sitting, too, so make sure to consider both when choosing. One factor to always consider is hotels like to keep their thermostat set to “Antarctica” so if you tend to be on the chilly side, bring a stylish scarf or jacket. Don’t forget to add it to the Aesthetic Next packing list!
Embrace the Industry’s Aesthetic #
Since the Aesthetic Next Conference revolves around the aesthetics industry, you have permission to get your glam on while also being a serious learner. Consider adding statement accessories or wearing colors and patterns inspired by the latest trends. When it comes to patterns…a word of caution! Triple check that your outfit of choice is the right one to be emblazoned on the ‘Gram in those 4,592 pictures that will inevitably show up somewhere (Horizontal stripes. Need we say more?). We get asked every year whether or not scrubs are acceptable. The real answer? It depends! Shameless plug for the new Figs® jumpsuit because the answer is always yes no matter when or where. But in general, scrubs are definitely the exception and not the rule. Attendees use this time to leave the work uniform at home and embrace the style and sophistication that is always present with this group of fashion icons.
Don’t Forget the Shoes #
While it’s easy to focus solely on your attire, your choice of footwear can significantly impact your overall look and comfort. Opt for shoes that are both stylish and comfortable, as you’ll likely be on your feet for long periods. Heels can add a touch of elegance, but make sure they’re practical enough to wear throughout the day. If heels aren’t your preference, consider chic flats or dressy loafers that exude style without compromising on comfort. And, if you insist on the Louboutins, bring a pair of ballet slippers or sneakers for those brisk walks from one room to another! A quick change before your grand entrance is always acceptable.
Evening Events #
We’re a little obsessive when it comes to a theme, so rest assured. You will have back-to-back evening events where you can channel your inner Met Gala goddess! We’ve offered a little inspo below so you can plan the shopping trips and add the perfect ensemble to your Aesthetic Next packing list!

If you’ve seen our branding, you’ve probably noticed it has a futuristic feel, and we’re bringing it to this offsite modern disco party. The theme is future-focused, so whether that means a form fitting space suit or a cyber punk crime fighter, it’s really your call. Add neon, techno, futuristic, and metaverse pics to your vision board, and you can’t go wrong. Another Aesthetic Next packing list item crossed off!
Never Underestimate the Power of a Great Outfit
Remember, the key to dressing for the Aesthetic Next Conference is finding the perfect balance between professionalism and personal style while getting in the spirit of the event. While we ascribe to Coco Chanel’s philosophy, “Dress like you’re going to meet your worst enemy today,” we also know that sore feet and an uncomfortable outfit will distract you from all the excitement we have in store! By following these tips, you’ll be well-prepared to make a lasting impression while keeping your fashion functional and on point.
